Elevated Ingredients
Our purpose is anchored in information and education: to help women understand how ingredients work, and to make an informed decision for their daily skin routine.
To acquire positive results, a product has to be examined not only for its ingredients, but also how it is formulated and whether its benefits are backed by scientific research. We have shared our research into the efficacy of natural botanical ingredients from our experts, as we understand skincare products are not universally beneficial.
Our open-ingredients policy allows you to understand what works best for your specific skin condition, with full transparency.

Speisialtóir, Vitamin C & E Serum

Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid)
As the best form of vitamin C, L-Ascorbic Acid is known for its skin regeneration properties. It is a powerful antioxidant that acts like an army, protecting its territory, so to speak. Since it protects the skin from external environmental toxins, UV light, the ingredient help to prevent wrinkle formation, reduces dark spots (at levels of 5% and above), and evens out skin tone. Research also shows its ability to boost collagen production.
However, please be advised that air exposure can degrade this ingredient and the product that contains it has to be formulated correctly to be effective. Otherwise, you may end up harming your skin by using a product that has a high level of preservatives to stabilise the vitamin C. The reason why you should use a topical product that has L-Ascorbic acid is that it is the only form of vitamin C that can be absorbed by the skin.

Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
Stabilised vitamin C can brighten dull skin, reduce hyperpigmentation and even reduce bacteria that causes acne. However, in order to provide these benefits, it has to be in a stable form. This is where vitamin E, specifically Tocopherol, proves invaluable. It stabilises vitamin C to maximise its antioxidant benefits and skin protection capabilities.
Speisialtóir contains both of these ingredients to ensure you can get full natural benefits without harmful side effects.
Healthy Glow Serum, Cream and Oil

Vitamin C (Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate)
A powerful form of vitamin C, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is made by mixing vitamin C with Isopalmitic Acid and it stands out from other vitamin C types because it can penetrate the skin faster because it is oil soluble.
Our skin is protected by a layer of oil, which keeps germs out and seals in moisture. Since water and oil cannot mix, a water-based skincare product cannot penetrate without a suitable delivery system. Since Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is oil soluble, it allows such products to potentially penetrate into the deeper layer of your skin.

Marine Collagen
Marine Collagen revives healthy skin function by transferring key amino acids to it in record time. That way, it help enhance skin elasticity, hydration as well as moisture levels for younger-looking skin. Marine Collagen is extracted from natural seaweed source.

Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate)
Hyaluronic Acid is known for its skin-firming capabilities. It is present in the dermis layer of our skin where, with elastin fibres and collagen, it makes our skin elastic and supple. While it is present naturally in the dermis layer, it can deplete in time, making the skin look and feel drier and less firm. If the supply is not replenished, your skin can get wrinkly. Our Healthy Glow Serum and Cream contain this ingredient and can be used to replenish dwindling amounts in your skin.

Aloe Vera Leaf Juice Powder
Aloe Vera is already known as a powerful skin moisturiser. However, the powder that is extracted from this plant is 200 times more concentrated and acts on the skin faster in comparison. On a cosmetic level, this ingredient can help regenerate damaged skin cells and maintain them by retaining moisture. That way, it keeps wrinkles and fine lines at bay. A single gram of Aloe Vera Leaf Juice Powder has the same potency as the gel of the plant it is derived from.

Certified Organic Honey
Organic honey is an abundant source of phenolic acids and antioxidant flavonoids. Phenolic acids create a shield around elastin and collagen, two components that give our skin its firmness and glow and it fights off free radicals. Antioxidant flavonoids absorb UV light and when applied topically in the form of our Healthy Glow Serum and Cream, it assist in protecting the skin from free radicals.

Kakadu Plum
This Australian botanical ingredient contains concentrated amounts of natural vitamin C and is also known for its super absorbent properties. In other words, products that contain this ingredient can penetrate the skin fast. The result? A healthy glow and reduction in blemishes.

Macadamia Oil
Macadamia oil contains several components that are skin-replenishing. This includes squalene, which helps protect the derma from UV damage and environmental toxins. It also has anti-bacterial properties that help prevent acne formation and balances skin tone. The oil also contains tocotrienols which feeds the skin, helps reduce free radical damage and increase the shelf-life of the ingredient at the same time.

Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil has strong anti-inflammatory properties and is known for protecting acne-prone skin from free radicals that can dry it out. Additionally, it also regulates sebum production easily since it is biomimetic, it matches the sebum that our body produces naturally by up to 97%! This is why products that contain this ingredient can assist in balancing out the skin and preventing breakouts.

Rosehip Oil
Rosehip Oil or rosehip seed oil is a good source of vitamin A and fatty acids that are known for enhancing our natural skin glow. What most people don’t know is that it can also act as a carrier oil for potent skincare products. With high levels of essential fatty acids, such as omega 6 and omega 3, this ingredient not only makes skin softer, but it also helps protect it from environmental toxins. In other words, it not only helps to heal the skin, but also maintains the results.

Rose Damask
The Damask Rose is a hybrid of two different roses and it is cultivated to create rose oil via distillation. Besides smelling heavenly, Rose Damask has a mild emollient action, which means that it can retain moisture, thus keeping the skin supple and wrinkle-free. It is also loaded with antioxidants, which help keep free radicals at bay and slow down the aging process of the skin at the same time. This ingredient also contains flavonoids, which assist in protecting the skin against UV radiation.

Glycerine
Glycerine is a humectant, which means that it is draws moisture from the lower layer of our skin and the air to the top layer of our skin and traps it there for consistent nourishment. This keeps wrinkles and fine lines at bay as our collagen remains smooth and soft. Glycerine is also an emollient, which means that not only does it keep skin moist, but also soft and supple to the touch. In other words, it helps enhance natural glow and makes the skin look fresh and young. What most people don’t know is that this ingredient can also assisting in making cells grow and helping the skin to heal from breakouts and inflammation.
